"Education Commences at Mother's knee, and every word spoken within the hearing of little children tends towards the foundation of character"
Indian School Ajman was established in 1988.
The four corner stones of school has always been Mr. T. Mohanachandran, Chairman; Mrs. Malathi Das, Principal; Mrs. Shobha Mohan, Vice Principal and dedicated staff of Indian School Ajman.
The patron of our school is Mr. Abdulla Bu Shahab, who was the Asst. Undersecretary in the UAE ministry of labor and social welfare.
The school had its humble beginning at the heart of Ajman city. The benevolent ruler of Ajman granted a plot of land and the school had its own building in 1991 and moved to its new premises. At that time we were the only school in that area. Starting with 8 teachers the school has 103 staff today of which 68 are teachers. We have a strength of more then 1500 students. The philosophy of the school has been to provide high quality education and individual attention to each of its students. None of the classes has more than 30 students and most of them have been kept at 27.
Yet another feature of the school has been to get good result for the classes as a whole. Board Examination results are proof for this. More than 75% of the students score more than First Class marks and 15 to 20% of them secure Distinction (above 75%).
The school presented its first Board Examination batch in 1992. Academically our school students have scored very high marks which have brought our school among the top five quite a number of times. The school has presented 21 batches of Grade X students and 17 batches of Grade XII students for the CBSE Board Examination. Our record of cent percent results during the years is a testament to the dedicated and hard work of its teachers.
On the extracurricular side, our forte has been arts especially music and dance. Our students have won the Air India Rolling Trophy for the inter school music competition quite a number of times. Besides the dance group has won dance competitions year after year.
The school annual day, which is a well known and well attended function, has been graced by most of the notable Indians in the UAE besides the top officials of the Indian diplomatic missions.
