The famous words of Rig Veda, ‘Let noble thoughts come to us from every corner of the world’ is extremely apt for today’s education.
On 25th of April, 2012, Indian School Ajman will enter its 25th – The Silver Jubilee Year!
From the day one to this day we have tried our best to keep our feet on the ground and never fly high. Walk in to the school you will be welcomed with a smile. We try to instill discipline but through love and care. Unwaveringly we have held on to our philosophy of ‘Family atmosphere’. Parents can walk in and meet the management and teachers without any hindrance and discuss their problems and find solutions. Everyone is important to us, there are no differences shown.
We are indeed proud that our students have reached the high echelons of the business world. The reason is our teachers who are our assets. The set of teachers dealing with the Board Exam Classes are the best in the country and they push the children to excel. Indian School Ajman may not boast of ultramodern infrastructure but the school has what it takes to bring a smile on the face of the parent who has entrusted his / her child to us.
Preserving and remembering the heritage of our great country India is of utmost importance in the present age of consumerism and globalization.
Our efforts will be to make sure that the school while improving the academic excellence does not move away from our traditional values of love, respect, tolerance, caring and sharing. We want our student to leave the school with a harmonious personality.
We reaffirm our commitment to provide affordable but excellent education to the students joining our school and we are sure the unstinted support of the parents and the society will continue to assist us.
Mr. T. Mohanachandran
(Chairman)
Looking back to 1988 when we opened a school in a villa with a small number of students wondering where this journey would take us, I feel today a great sense of achievement. There were moments of uncertainty and great stress but support of friends and parents strengthened my hands and year after year the school grew. We moved from a villa to a school building providing better facilities and a good set of dedicated teachers for furthering the cause of education.
Whilst academic excellence is clearly at the core of what we are trying to achieve. Our school mission is to provide opportunities for our students which enable them to grow emotionally, morally, physically and creatively.
With excellent CBSE Board Examination results Indian School Ajman ranks among the best in UAE. Our school is the centre for CBSE Board Examination for schools in Ajman.
The school organizes many events and extra curricular activities, providing a platform for talent. Students are encouraged to participate in Inter School Activities which builds up their confidence. It is a matter of pride that Indian School Ajman has given the required base to our dear students studying abroad. Many of them are in well placed jobs and some are pursuing their further studies in the field of biotechnology, Engineering and Medicine and Commerce. Our good wishes go to each one of our ex-students.
The school has a separate campus for girls and a well equipped hall to conduct internal functions. We keep our students happy and motivated to excel. Regular counseling is being given to students and parents. Teachers training programmes are encouraged.
Looking forward to taking the school to the next stage of progress and excellence with the co-operation of well wishers and parents.
Mrs. Malathi Das
(Principal)
All around the world new things are being built, whether it is mobile phones, television sets, cars or buildings. But education lags behind. A lot of research has to be done to find the best ways of educating a child.
New schools are coming up in every country. If there was a mechanism of sharing the experience of different schools in different parts of the world, the system of education would move up in leaps and bounces.
We are a small school but we are trying to find ways of imparting education in a simple and systematic way.
We feel it is the relationship which is most crucial for teaching. If we understand a student and if the student’s heart is with the teacher, teaching becomes easy.
Students will be eager to learn if they feel that the teacher cares about them and is interested in them in a personal manner. And keeping the atmosphere in the school on a personal and family note we do our best to inculcate strong values besides academics.
Our efforts from the day we commenced were mainly to provide the best within our limited resources. Our main assets were and are our parents who have stood by us. It is heartening when a parent sends all his children to our school and they complete their studies and reach good positions in their career. And it gives immense pleasure when these students who went through our school send their children to our school though they have many alternatives. We are indeed proud that they have the confidence in our school and its teachers.
